Burnley FC celebrates a 100-point promotion and Turf Moor upgrades

Burnley Football Club gave its supporters plenty to celebrate in 2025. After relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2023 to 2024 season, the Clarets bounced straight back, earning promotion at the first attempt.
The manner of the promotion was remarkable. Burnley finished the 2024 to 2025 Championship season on 100 points, and their defence was the foundation of their success, conceding just 16 goals in 46 league matches.
The return also continued a notable pattern. It maintained Burnley's record of making an immediate return to the Premier League in each of their last three Championship seasons, a sign of the resilience built into the club.
The town marked the achievement together. On 6 May 2025 Burnley held a civic celebration, with interviews at Burnley Town Hall and an open-top bus parade making its way to Turf Moor in the evening.
Burnley Council's chief executive praised the club for its place in the town, describing the Clarets as an important part of the community whether you are a supporter or not. It is a reminder that a football club in a town like Burnley means far more than results on a Saturday.
The club wasted no time preparing for life back in the top flight. In July 2025 it revealed changes to the matchday experience at Turf Moor ahead of the 2025 to 2026 Premier League season, drawn up after consultation with its Fan Advisory Board.
Plans included a new team arrival route down Harry Potts Way and a relocated tunnel area. Chairman Alan Pace said promotion had allowed the club to accelerate those plans, bringing improvements to supporters sooner than expected. For fans who stood by the team through relegation, it was a welcome sign that the club was thinking about their experience as well as the action on the pitch.
Turf Moor is one of English football's most historic grounds, and the latest upgrades help it look ahead as well as back. Fixtures, tickets and matchday information are available on the Burnley FC website for anyone hoping to catch a game.
