Every summer the windmill on Lytham Green becomes the backdrop to one of the North West's biggest music events. Lytham Festival has grown into a fixture of the Lancashire calendar, and its 2026 edition was one of the most star-studded yet.

The festival ran from Wednesday 1 July to Sunday 5 July 2026, with a different headliner topping the bill each night. It is a format that gives every evening its own character and draws audiences from right across the country.

The headliners were a remarkable mix. Teddy Swims opened the festival on the Wednesday, Alanis Morissette and Pitbull took their turns at the top of the bill, Michael Bublé played on Friday 3 July and Pet Shop Boys headlined on Saturday 4 July.

As the summer approached, more names were added. Ronan Keating was among five acts announced later in the build-up, and the wider bill included Skunk Anansie, Scissor Sisters, Lil Jon, Pale Waves, The Big Moon and DJ Laz.

Support slots helped round out the programme. Appleton and DJ Graham Liver were also announced, giving each evening a full line-up from the moment the gates opened.

Part of the festival's charm is the setting. Lytham Green runs along the seafront between the town and the Ribble estuary, and watching a world-famous act perform as the sun goes down over the water is an experience that sets the festival apart from city arenas, and one that brings many festivalgoers back summer after summer.

The festival also matters to the town beyond the music. Each July it brings thousands of visitors to Lytham, filling restaurants, bars, shops and hotels across the Fylde coast and putting this elegant seaside town on the national map. For local businesses, festival week is often one of the busiest of the whole year, and the atmosphere spills out across the streets long after the final encore.

Announcements for future line-ups and ticket sales are made through the Lytham Festival website and its social channels. Popular nights sell quickly, so it is worth signing up for updates if you hope to be on the green next summer.
